A new feature has been implemented to detect Shop Pay users who previously deleted their accounts using the Delete Me button. When such a user logs back into the store via their Shop Pay account, "Delete Me" will automatically detect them. This feature helps prevent accidental purchases by returning users.
Shopify Customer Data Upon Re-login
When "Delete Me" detects a re-login from a previously deleted Shop Pay user, the following updates are applied to their Shopify customer profile:
Tags
The following tags will be automatically added to the customer profile:
shop_pay_reactivatedshop_pay_reactivated_on:20XX-XX-XX(The specific date of re-login)

The email address will be automatically restored from its masked version to the original email address.
Name
The name will remain masked.
To update the name, use one of the following methods:
Admin Manual Update: Store administrators can change the name via Shopify Admin > Customers.
Customer Self-Update: Customers can change their names directly through the storefront. You can also install an App Block to prompt users to update their information upon re-login.
Installing App Blocks to Prompt Information Updates
When a previously deleted Shop Pay user logs back into the store, you can display an App Block on the storefront to encourage them to update their personal information.
Function: This block automatically appears to reactivated users, prompting them to correct their "Masked Name" or other profile details.
Setup: You can configure and position this element using the Shopify Theme Editor to ensure a seamless re-boarding experience for the customer.
