Inactive customer are defined as customers who have not made a purchase for a certain period since their last purchase.
Eligibility for This Feature
- This feature is available for users of the Optimize Plan ($59.99).
- Users of the Automation Plan ($29.99) can try the inactive customer deletion feature for up to 10 members (for trial).If you have been using the Automation Plan before this feature update, you will receive 10 deletion credits immediately after the update.
How to check the number of deletion available
*Autonomous Plan users can check the number of auto deletion available from Delete Me> Settings> Red text in the upper right corner.
How to set
1. Open Delete Me and select the "Inactive Customer Deletion" tab.
2. Select the number of months or years to wait before deleting a customer who hasn't made a purchase.
3. Set the number of reminders to be sent.
*If you select "No reminder" and save the settings, inactive members will be automatically deleted without receiving any reminders.
4. Set the reminder interval.
Choose how often reminders will be sent before deletion. Reminders will be sent according to the number of reminders set until the inactive member is deleted.
Example:
If set on December 24 with 2 reminders at 1-month intervals:
- 1st Reminder: December 24
- 2nd Reminder: January 24
- Auto-Deletion Date: February 24
5. Set the Preferred Reminder Time.
Select the preferred time to send the auto delete notification e-mails to the customer, the timezone is set to the store's timezone.
6. Auto Delete E-mail Settings
Configure the auto-deletion notification email and deletion confirmation email settings. Warning emails will be sent according to the "Number of reminders to send" option.You can edit the email subject and redirect URL in this section.
7. Click the save.

Excluding Customers from Deletion Using Customer Tags
1. Open Delete Me > Settings > Features tab > General features > Customer tag and enter the tag name (e.g., "Test").
- Scroll down and click "Save."
- If adding multiple tags, separate them with a comma (,).
2. Go to Shopify's "Customer" and select the customer to be tagged.
3. Enter the relevant tag name in the "Tags" field.

What we can be checked from Delete Me
Inactive Customer Deletion Dashboard > Task Management & Information
- The dashboard reflects information about customers identified as inactive.
Task Management & Information
- Go to Delete Me > Inactive Member Deletion Dashboard > Task Management & Information to check the progress of ongoing tasks.
- This screen displays information before auto-deletion.
- After auto-deletion, details can be checked in the logs.

Details of Logs After Auto Deletion
Once auto deletion occurs, you can check the status of the processed customers.
Go to Delete Me Dashboard > Click on "View details."
Cancel a Deletion Target
You can cancel inactive customers who have been scheduled for auto-deletion from the app.
- Go to Delete Me > Inactive Customer Deletion Dashboard > Task Management & Information. Select the customer you want to cancel and click "Cancel Deletion."
- Click "Cancel Deletion Tasks".

When you check the customer data in Shopify, the auto_deletion_cancelled tag will be assigned.
As a result, the customer will not be automatically deleted.
How to Purchase Additional Deletions
If 100 deletions are not enough, you can purchase additional deletion credits.
1. Go to Delete Me > Settings > Subscription Management, and select the number of additional deletions you wish to purchase. For example, here, you would add 100 deletions.
2. The total deletions available will now show as 197, which includes the 97 deletions you already had and the additional 100 deletions purchased. You can check from Delete Me > Settings > Subscription Management.
3. This information will also be displayed on the dashboard.
Handling of Inactive Customer Auto Deletion When Downgrading
Autonomous Plan
- Initial Benefit: After the update, 10 inactive member deletion credits are granted.
- While the plan is active: Automatic deletion of 10 inactive members are possible.
- After cancellation: Deletion credits are retained, but the auto-delete feature cannot be used.
- Upon reactivation: Any remaining deletion credits can still be used.
📝 Example:
- 12/12 → Holds 6 deletion slots.
- Switches to Ecosystem Plan(Free). This user cannot use the auto deletion feature.
- Does not use the auto deletion feature by 12/30.
- Re-enrolls in the Autonomous Plan on 2/14 → The 6 deletion credits remain available!
Optimize Plan
- Includes all features of the Autonomous Plan + 100 inactive member deletions per month.
- 7-day free trial available.
- Additional credits can be purchased for more than 101 credits.
- If canceled or downgraded, plan features remain for 30 days.
- Deletion slots and additional tickets have no expiration date.
📝 Example:
🔶 Pattern 1: Downgrade from Optimize Plan to Autonomous Plan
- 12/15 → Holds 50 deletion credits.
- Purchases additional 100 credits, bringing the total to 150.
- 12/17 → Downgrades from Optimize Plan to Autonomous Plan.
- Until 12/30, Optimize Plan features remain active → Still has 150 deletion credits!
🔶 Pattern 2: Switch from Optimize Plan to Free Ecosystem Plan
- 12/15 → Holds 50 deletion slots.
- Purchases additional 100 credits, bringing the total to 150.
- 12/17 → Switches to the Ecosystem Plan.
- Keeps 150 deletion credits but loses auto deletion feature.
- 3/20 → Re-enrolls in the Optimize Plan, gaining 100 new deletion credits.
- Total deletion credits now: 250 (Previous 150 + New 100).
📌 Important Notes
⚠ Switching to the free Ecosystem Plan disables the auto-delete feature.
⚠ However, deletion credits are retained, and reactivating a paid plan restores auto-delete functionality!
