You can set up from 'Settings'. Click on the “Settings” button in the upper right corner to configure and change settings.
1. General features
Customer tag
Customers will not be deleted if you set 'customer tag' the box below. Multiple tags can be set up. This tag must be the same as the one you set up in 'Customers' in Shopify.
How to set up
① Open Delete Me>Settings> Features>General features>Customer tag. You can set/fill in the word(eg: test) which you want to add the tag, and then click save button. If you want to set multiple words, you just add "," before the word.
②Open Customers in Shopify> Select the customer who will be added the tag
③ To fill in the tag name which you set up in the app.
2. E-mail Settings
*This function is available to those who subscribe to Autonomous plan($29.99 per month)
- When a customer unsubscribes from the storefront themselves, a delete confirmation e-mail will be sent automatically to the customer.
- The delete confirmation e-mail will not be sent when a store admin logically deletes a customer from Customers.
- If a store admin also wants to receive a delete confirmation email, please set up the desired email address in the 'Email Settings' under 'Blind Carbon Copy (BCC).
- Starting from February 2024, if you do not yet own a web domain for your business and have not set up DMARC for that domain, to avoid errors in delivering deletion confirmations, the sender's email address will be no-reply@mail.delete-me.app. For information on how to set up DMARC, please refer to this article.
- It is available to test the email using the 'Test Email' button at the top right.
3. External System Integration
*This function is available to those who subscribe to Autonomous plan($29.99 per month)
If you specify URL(s) in the 'Webhook URL(s)' field, Delete Me will connect to the specified external system. When a customer is deleted through the application's proxy, a request (including the ID of the deleted customer and the email) will be sent to all specified URL(s).
Multiple URL(s) can be configured; please separate them with commas. For more information, please refer to this article.
4. Integration with Dotdigital
*This function is available to those who subscribe to Autonomous plan($29.99 per month)
If you follow to set up ①~②, it is available to integrate with Dotdigital. When a customer account is deleted via Delete Me, the deleted customer account is automatically moved to 'Suppressions' from 'List' in Dotdigital.
① Open Delete Me> Settings> Marketing Platform Integration> Dotdigital Account. Please fill in 'Dotdigital API Key', 'Dotdigital Secret' and 'Dotdigital Account Region' which are provided from Dotdigital.
2. Turn on 'Global unsubscribe contact' and save it. Once you turn on this toggle, the deletion is requested to Dotdigital and automatically moved from “List” to “Suppressions” on Dotdigital.
* Please check the settings in Dotdigital.
Remember to check your settings in Dotdigital, as only customers who have unsubscribed from email marketing will appear in the suppression list. Customers who are subscribed to SMS marketing will not be reflected in the suppression list. Unsubscribing contacts who are subscribed to SMS marketing is not yet supported by Dotdigital via API.
5. Subscription Management
You can select Ecosystem plan(free plan) and Autonomous plan($29.99 per month) from Subscription Management.
